Stu, what trends have you seen in the Powered Access market recently ?

Access is really on the rise (get it !?). More and more companies are looking for newer machines to compete and offer their customers the best in the market but also the market has seen an introduction of a lot of imports of inferior quality thus pushing the rental market into more competitive pricing.

Why do you think you’re seeing an increased demand for Powered Access Machines ? 

End users from construction, civil engineering and right across many industries have requirements with Health and Safety and have to ensure workers have the best equipment working at height. A powered access machine is a lot more manoeuvrable than traditional scaffolding, and steel erection firms and warehouses see a huge benefit in the versatility of an access platform. The media industry benefits from these machines thanks to their ease of use indoors where quick positioning and set up is crucial to their budgets and being electric is a key bonus.

So, whats special about the range of machines Contract Plant Rental offer ?

Unlike many suppliers, we offer any OEM but our success to date is offering the best in the industry, Genie and Niftylift. We offer a significant number of hybrid machines in the 16m+ range and we also specialise in the large boom market. We have the flexibility to create bespoke contract rental plans to access hire companies and end users where budget is key. Plus knowing they will be backed up by one of the largest Contract Rental companies in the UK & Ireland offers real peace of mind.

How would you best summarise the range of powered access machines on offer from Contract Plant Rental ?

We have stock of diesel, electric and hybrid machines from a Z33 to a SX135 and we are one of the few companies to stock the amazing Genie S65 TRAX XC!

Where do you see the Contract Plant Rental Powered Access Division by the end of 2022 ?

We’re already considered a preferred supply partner by a large number of firms across the country and that’s something we’re really proud of but we hope to continue this growth. Not only do we offer the best machines in the business but our client management is key and i’m personally available to at all times (within reason! ????).

We will be in a position to bring an account manager on board and a hire controller to the division and with another 20 machines going out on long term hire contracts shortly, we will become one of the UKs key suppliers for long term rental.
